For anyone who has visited Indonesia they will be familiar with the Padang restaurants found across the country with plates stacked up in the shop window in a pyramid displaying all the various dishes on sale.


Best eaten with your fingers, beef rendang is a relatively dry curry consisiting of succulent chunks of beef slow cooked for 6 hours in coconut milk, lemon grass, lime leaf, chilli and spices until it has absorbed all the flavour. You won't find a more authentic version of this world famous curry !
